The new Royal Adelaide Hospital is  the third most expensive building in the world, at a cost of $2.3billion Australian. The only buildings that have cost more money to produce have been the One World Trade Centre in New York and Romanian dictator, Nicolae Ceausescu’s Palace of the Parliament. An estimated 330,00 people gathered along the parade route in 2017 to watch the floats and other entertainment. The Adelaide Christmas Pageant was inspired by the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Toronto Santa Claus Parade.
