Staff Picks - 5 Great Restaurants around Adelaide

When the Rockford team were asked for recommendations of their favourite restaurants around Adelaide, the response was great. It's interesting to learn of new places to try and the Adelaide dining scene is just getting bigger and better.

When the team were first asked, loyally they answered 'Spice Market' so this is our number one! A favourite amongst the team, locals and hotel guests:

"Amazing meals last night! Flavours and attention to detail were exceptional"

"Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Cudos to the chef!"

1. Spice Market Restaurant  - Grd Flr Adelaide Rockford Hotel

Executive Chef Nigel is very excited to present his sensational Spring Menu. Listening and reacting to our guests, due to popular demand he has compiled a salivating selection of all time favourites with a few hit predictions. Rockford royalty will be making a comeback including the delicious Pork Belly classic, “Ocean & Earth” and “Surf & Turf .

2. Sabai Cafe Glenelg South (recommended by Paula, Business Development Mgr)

"Yai and Peter are the owners. Yai originally from Thailand is in charge of the delicious thai food. Traditional thai food and excellent service. A favourite dish  is of course Green Chicken Curry, it’s light with just enough hotness, and baby eggplant and not to forget Sabai signature Curry Puffs (meat or vegetarian) are scrumptious and you cannot stop at just one! "

3. Yen Lihn, Croydon Park (recommended by Marcus, Food & Beverage Manager)

"Best Vietnamese noodle restaurant - great ambience, great noodles and popular with the locals"

4. New India, Hindley Street (recommended by Sharon, General Manager)

"When I am not looking for Asian infused I slip across the road to the sub continent and enjoy a naan bread!" Headchef, Gopal provides numerous tasty dishes including lunch specials making this restaurant a favourite among the locals as well as the Adelaide Indian community.

5. Pagoda, Glen Osmond Road (recommended by Derek, Maintenance Manager)

"They have been there for over 40 years (the oldest Chinese restaurant in SA) and their food has always been of a very high standard.  They do an amazing banquet and I can highly recommend their fried ice-cream for dessert which comes out on fire!"
